“Here are ways you can master the art of public speaking!”
Stand Up Comedy
This might be biased because I am a stand up comedian, but I gotta say this art form is a fantastic way to get better at public speaking. Depending on where you live, there a number of open mics where you can get free practice at speaking in front of a group of people.
Be Clear And Concise
Make your content easy to digest. Avoid using big and complicated words just to sound smart. The main objective should be to make sure the audience fully understands the message you are trying to convey.
Tell Stories
If you go and watch some of the most popular Ted Talks you’ll notice that they all have stories woven into their speeches. They do this because stories are an effective way to get an audience engaged. Stories are also a fantastic way to make a point you’re making more relatable to your audience.
Confident Body Language
Exhibit open and positive body language. Your body language can drastically affect how an audience receives your message. Learning how to do this correctly is as easy as searching how on YouTube.
Know Your Audience
It helps to know the demographic of the people you will be speaking to because that will determine how your message is received. The more relatable your content is to your demographic, the more deeply your audience will receive your message.
